If you would also like one or just want to support our campaign, we ask you to sign this petition (e-mail addresses will not be displayed or revealed):

Lucas Dangas,
Lauro Abreu,
espero que a Apple nos ouça hehe
Daniel Soares,
perfect idea. very good
Mario Galrão,
I only desagree with the screen size. It should be 11 inches and not 10.1. The air is indeed a netbook.
Cloi Polastro,
MacBook Air 10" - Yes Apple, YOU CAN!
Kevin,
Please Jobs, listen to this guy!
Leandro Tavares,
Excelente idéia!!!!
@GarotoPimpolar,
Emanuel CAmpos,
Good propose, you have my support for a smaller and shipper Air! Pretty good site! Congratulations.
Filipe Durando,
I bet the proposal, why pay more for an inferior product?! Does the design is worth so much?
Carlos Coelho,
É isso!
Beto Zoiro,
We are a mac enthusiastic and macmaniacs. We deserve it.... Greta Idea!!! I'll buy it...
xxxxxxxx,
Gabriel Chaw,

Paulo Mateus O. Guerra,
Great Idea, never realy though about it and by thinking about it, it makes more sense than ever!

Enrique Limberger,
Jhonatan Bueno Garcia,

Rafael Brasileiro de Araújo,
rogerio,
quero com preço de netbook tambem.
Dhyan Shanasa,
Hurry!!!
Lucas Barbosa,
Very good idea!
xxxxxxxx,
I do not speak English, so I translated by Google Translate:
I agree with this campaign.
I have 2 macbookair! But their capacity is really low and
the use as Netbooks. So I think that Apple should admit that
the main use of these computers is exactly this and make a
most suitable product.
Hugs,
Fernando,
Comprei a idéia! Show!!
xxxxxxxx,
Christian Favaron,
APPLE, abra o olho!!!!!
Antonio Augusto Coutinho,
Espero que o novo tablet seja um netbook deste tamanho e ainda uma interface touch adicional. Seria perfeito.
Vinicius Secchim,
certaily this proposal is much more suitable for macbook air than its todays; 10" is just perfect!
Paulo,
I want a MacBook Air 10" with a Multi-Touch Screen
Bruno Marques,
Great idea. I would love a MacBook Air with 10''.
xxxxxxxx,
Why haven't Apple thought about that yet?
Gustavo Silveira,
I was an user of the first generation of Macbook air, and I used it for almost one year when I replace it by one macbook pro 15, I was desperate for a real full computer, for sure the 13" screen is really nice as well the keyboard, but the general feeling, as a user, is that you have a submachine, not a full computer, as you have when you use a netbook.
Doesn't make sense to position the MB Air as a Notebook, because it is always showing you that you have less than a notebook during the usage, it really is a netbook with an excellent screen and keyboard, I had to spend lot of premium money for the size and the extras (ethernet adapter, dvd adapter, external monitor, usb hub...)
In the beginning I felt as an enthusiast, in the end as a Moron... this is the reason I subscribe this petition, to correctly position the product avoiding other people the have the same experience that I have with the MBAir.
Rodrigo Pessoa,
Very clever. With a 10.1" netbook I'll certainly buy mine too!
xxxxxxxx,
I and my husband have been mac fans for decades, we have three macs in use at home, have lent a fourth one to extended family and have at least two in the loft! However I am sorely disappointed in the lack of a small (10 inch) lightweight (under 1.kg) machine , with reasonable battery life (at least 5 to 7 hours) manufactured by Apple. I have been a student for the last 5 years, I cycle to college, will not put my 12 inch power book on my bicycle, and instead travel around town and to lectures with a cheap HP net book. It does the job and is not impossible to use, but I am so glad to get home to my powerbook. And get sick of transferring files. I can't lug a heavy machine around all day, need something small because even as PHD students we don't get somewhere to store our stuff, so you have to keep your bags with you all day, and I get tired of taking a charger everywhere with me. I am holding off buying a new laptop, because I really want a new apple machine, but it has been 18 months and they still ignore the fact that netbooks are selling well and there is a reason for this. Serious computer users (writing, spreadsheets, running statistical software / using imaging software) who are not bothered about gaming and watching moves as a primary purpose for buying a laptop, are just being ignored. Many of us want a small lightweight machine, with a nearly full sized keyboard, (the 92% sized keyboard on the HP is comfortable to type on.) and need to be able to attend to our work whilst on the move, waiting for appointments. I rarely leave home without a computer on me. But for the time being I have compromised whist waiting for Apple to do something. If by the end of 2010 apple has not produced a small light laptop, I'm going to spend my money on a windows based machine, something I have resisted for two decades. There is not a single small laptop out there (10 inches or less) that is quite right, all of them have something to let them down and the best light weight machines (Sony being one producer) are over £1000.
Apple does not need to produce a cheap pile of rubbish for £400, and it is insulting to the users to hear their executives making 'defensive' comments, which simply show ignorance of what life is like for women and men out there on the streets. They should come and spend a week commuting around London with an apple laptop in their shoulder bag, the injuries to your back and shoulders will put things in perspective. But I guess if you drive everywhere or have a driver to take you everywhere, then you will be out of touch with your customers.
The new ipad is not going to full fill the needs of a laptop user, and I as sorely disappointed when the launch details came out yesterday. I can see it's appeal to the leisure market, but why are Apple executives cutting their noses off in spite of the faces? This has simply become a childish stand off. Fingers crossed that someone goes back to surveying how people are actually living down here in pedestrian land and we get a revamped macbook air range, with a choice of sizes!
xxxxxxxx,
I was very disappointed when the iPad came out. I was hoping for something that would support a word processing program, at the very least! Not just a larger version of the iPhone/iTouch...
Please, Apple, I am begging you... I am about to be forced to buy a Dell or Toshiba to get a small netbook that I can carry around work easily!!! PLEASE!
Asmodean,
11" not 10". Has to be big enough to be usable and 11" is the sweet spot for usable/portable tradeoff.
Peter,
The lighter and smaller, the better. It would be great with 300 g weight and 5-inch display. Pocketable. As the Umid mBook BZ. Fantastic for Keynote and PowerPoint presentations. With true Mac inside. The Mac that you will always carry with you.
Rodney Durso,
I Would buy one in a second...!!!

James Scott,
Siavash,
Alas... The good days of 12 inch PowerBook G4
I hope so. With USB 3.0
Siavash
xxxxxxxx,
Yes that is what we are looking forward. And a SD-Slot would be perfect.
xxxxxxxx,
4 gigs ram, 2 USB port (Memory Stick, Remote Receiver), SD card slot, 11-inch screen, with OS X + iPhone OS combo, now that would be a dream!
Karman Narain,
i think this is a great idea...apple should really pick up on this.
azdawg,
I would hope that the device would fit in a large or oversized pocket of a jacket. I like the iPad too but it's too large for even a big pocket. It's gotta run OSX as well!
You can do it Apple! :-)
Thanks for all the quality stuff delivered so far. Now pull this one off as well.
R.Cirillo,
I agree a smaller more reasonably priced MBA is the way to go. A great idea. I want one !!
Adam Johnson,
Spot on. Everything in this well articulated website represents the common sense I have been hoping would come from Apple. I am a business user (Barrister) and am a little underwhelmed by the iPad for my business needs,(though I do like it for other purposes). I was hoping for an Apple netbook and have thought the best option was to shrink the MB Air and upscale some of its specs. I have been hoping for a long while now.
Please please please Apple, heed the well directed and well articulated views of this site. Regards, Adam Johnson, Australia
Adam Johnson,
I should say I have a "fleet" of 8 Macs, inc 2 MB's, plus a couple of iPhones.
My last PC before converting was a beautiful Fujitsu Lifebook 10.6 with everything onboard (optical drive, 2 x USB, SD card, video out etc ) -(not a netbook but still under 1.5kgs). I still have it and still use it because Apple has nothing in this segment.
The new MB Air should be 10.1-10.6, have 2 USB, SD card perhaps, remote receiver, and RAM/computer grunt.
NTV/NAT Group, Ltd. (ntvnat.com),
Matthias Breuer,
I would so buy this, if Apple came out with a proper version of this concept :-) However, I might like a MS Courrier Style "Mac Book Touch" even better ;-)
Giovanni Acconcia,
I would acclaim this new development, and of certainly buy one.
Waiting for Apple-news. Thanks for launching this petition-site.
Ted Wood,
Please make it, Apple! You can do it.
